The label has a four digit serial number..the last two digits represent the year IE: 96,97,98 etc...the first two digits represent the sequential number of guitars built that year...so 0397 would be the 3rd. guitar built in 1997. Absent a label ...look inside the guitar with a mirror on the waist side of the "X" brace .. each guitar is signed and dated when it is braced ...
